Harald Eifert, PhD

Managing Director


Dr. Harald Eifert is a physicist (TU Darmstadt) with a doctorate from the TU Clausthal-Zellerfeld and worked for the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft for 12 years, most recently as head of a Fraunhofer research center in Delaware, USA. Afterwards, for twelve years he was CEO and Managing Director of the Innovation Foundation Hamburg. At EurA AG, Dr. Eifert since 2014 acts as head of the branch Hamburg and since January 2017 as member of the board. He is a volunteer in various committees, i.a. as chairman of the board of the DTI German Association for Technology Transfer and Innovation e.V., as member of the board of the VDI district association Hamburg and as member of the committee for industry of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce.

Sigrun Althaus

Industrial clerk / Diplom-Kauffrau with focus on production and marketing. After studying, worked as project manager for European and international R&D projects and was involved in the pilot phase of the European Innovation Relay Centres. From 1996 to 1998 EU-office director at the Technical University Hamburg-Harburg. Worked for SMEs as self-employed project manager executing European technology projects for 15 years. At EurA, she will continue application / project management and be assistant to the branch management.

Boris Buckow

Project- and Clustermanager

Studied International Management at IMS, Bad Malente, then working in the real estate sector and since 1998 director of the "Institut für europäische Wirtschaftsförderung". Support of companies in internationalization inside the EU. Specialist in implementing subsidized industrial financings and investments. Experience in international M&A transactions as well as development of crowd funding platforms. Author of numerous columns and publications on funding and creator of the "Förderlexikon" (funding encyclopedia). Accredited BAFA and KfW consultant, certified Rating Advisor, experience in issuing of rating reports for companies. At EurA responsible for financing of innovative companies and SMEs.

Nicole Dutzke

Studied digital media management and public management at Osnabrück University of Applied Science. Self-employed media manager for many years, e.g. for Berlin Film Festival, Phoenix and NDR. Further experience in market research, personnel management, administration of R&D programs and commercial management.

Sabine Goetz, PhD

Dr. rer. nat.

Studied biology at Erlangen and Bremen University with focus on aquatic ecology. After two years of research in Chile, she worked as consultant for the Convention on Migratory Species in Bonn. Through her graduation and her work as scientific assistant at the Thünen Institute in Rostock, she gained further experience in conception, realisation and coordination of interdisciplinary R&D projects. In her research projects, she focussed mainly on sustainable resource management.

Rainer Henking, PhD

Dr. rer. nat.

Studied physics at the University of Hannover, specialising in quantum optics and lasers. He followed this with a doctorate in the field of optical thin film technology at the Laserzentrum Hannover, where he also provided support for a large number of industrial projects. He then worked for companies in the laser and optical industry in development and in international sales. He also now has many years of experience in innovation consultancy, technology management and technology transfer and has expanded his wealth of experience to cover an extensive range of fields of technology.

Alexander Lohrey

Studied Engineering Management (B.Eng.) at Jade University of Applied Sciences (Oldenburg), specialising in building trade. After his studies he gained experience in customer acquisition and consulting as assistant to the sales management of a medium-sized business. Thereafter, he studied engineering management (M. Eng.) at Jade University of Applied Sciences (Wilhelmshaven), specialising in business process management. As a cluster and project manager, he is now in charge of innovation consulting as well as R&D project management.

Athanasios Papaioannou

Successfully completed studies as Dipl.-Ing. in urban and regional planning at the University of Thessaly in Volos, Greece. Scientific work at the HafenCity University of Hamburg in the area of large-scale projects and strategic development. MBA studies at the Hamburg School of Business Administration specializing in strategic management. Years of experience as a project and network manager in the field of energy, start-ups and SMEs, especially in EU-funded projects (Interreg, Interact, ERDF, Horizon 2020).

Dr. Roozbeh Qodratnama

PhD Biomedicine

Studied Biotechnology at Mazandaran University, Sari, Iran with degree M. Sc. focusing on genetic engineering and holds a second M. Sc. in stem cell technology from the School of Medicine. PhD at the School of Pharmacy, University of Nottingham, UK. During the doctoral program, Mr. Qodratnama has been working as an innovation consultant at the Technology Transfer Office at Nottingham University and acted as a as consultant for SME's in the area of market analysis and strategic positioning of ATMP and medical products. As a Manager for Innovation and Regulatory Affairs, he was responsible for the launch and distribution of medical products in the Middle East, for Horizon2020 project management, product classification according to EU and FDA guidelines and certifications in Europe. At EurA, he is a project and cluster manager for life science for innovative medium-sized companies.

Bettina Seeland

to the Branch Management

As foreign language correspondence clerk, she worked for 18 years as assistant in for an IT service provider. After her training as professional project assistant, she organised CAD/CAE trainings for the automobile industry and its suppliers. Participation in national and international projects. Several years of experience as assistant to the board of management. At EurA Hamburg, she is also supporting the sales activities.
